Senior HR Manager - Mortgage Experience Required

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior HR Manager to lead and scale our people operations, talent strategy, and organizational development.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for building a best-in-class HR function that supports rapid growth, a distributed workforce, and a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate brings strong HR leadership experience, operational excellence, and a forward-thinking mindset, including leveraging AI and automation to enhance HR effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

1. People Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead HR strategy and operations aligned with business goals and growth plans
  • Build scalable HR processes to support a distributed, high-growth workforce
  • Champion company culture, employee engagement, and overall employee experience

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Own and optimize full-cycle recruiting across technical, operational, and leadership roles
  • Partner with department heads on workforce planning and hiring forecasts
  • Build proactive talent pipelines and strengthen employer branding
  • Position Loan Factory as an employer of choice in a competitive market

3. Learning, Development & Performance

  • Design and implement training, leadership development, and career pathing programs
  • Drive performance management frameworks, feedback culture, and employee growth initiatives
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development

4. Payroll, Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple states and countries
  • Manage and optimize benefits programs to remain competitive and cost-effective
  • Partner with Finance on compensation strategy, benchmarking, and planning

5. Compliance & Policy Development

  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international labor laws
  • Proactively monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates

6. Global & Multi-State Workforce Management

  • Support a distributed, multi-state and international workforce
  • Oversee onboarding, performance reviews, employee relations, and offboarding
  • Promote fairness, consistency, and inclusivity across all HR processes

7. HR Systems, Analytics & AI Enablement

  • Lead implementation and optimization of HRIS, payroll, and people analytics systems
  • Use data to drive insights on engagement, retention, and workforce performance
  • Partner with leadership to make data-driven people decisions
  • Drive adoption of automation and digital tools to improve HR efficiency

8. Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing HR team
  • Establish KPIs and performance standards aligned with company goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of HR experience in the mortgage industry (required), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, organizational development, and HR operations
  • Strong understanding of multi-state and global HR compliance
  • Solid experience in payroll, benefits, and HR policy development
  • Experience building HR functions in high-growth or startup environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in fintech, mortgage, or technology industries is a plus

Technology & AI Proficiency (Required)

  • Strong proficiency with HRIS, ATS, payroll, and people analytics platforms
  • Experience using or willingness to adopt AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, HR automation platforms, AI recruiting tools)
  • Ability to leverage AI for talent sourcing, resume screening, employee communications, training content, and HR analytics
  • Experience implementing or improving automated HR workflows (onboarding, performance tracking, engagement surveys)
  • High adaptability to evolving HR technology and digital transformation initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 per year (DOE)
  • Equity: RSU stock options
